Profile: The magazine encompasses folkloric and avant-garde art, the aesthetics, anthropology and knowledge of theatre, fine arts, folk art, popular and mass culture. “Konteksty” deals with the most notable tendencies in modern humanities, tracks down pictures illustrating the diversity of contemporary culture, and presents and emphasizes the sources and traditions of known, as well as emerging phenomena in contemporary society. Though highbrow by nature, the magazine is also accessible to a wide range of readers wishing to learn more about culture and its mechanisms.
