The Institute of Art History of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IS PAN) conducts active academic exchange with institutions engaged in similar research, as well as with museums and foundations in Europe and throughout the world.  The international academic cooperation comprises archival research, inquiries and comparative studies regarding mutual cultural and artistic relations.  The Art Institute is a member of RIHA (www.riha-institutes.org), an international institution associating research institutes conducting academic activities in the field of art history.
